Montgenevre, a well-known French ski resort located in the Cottian Alps near the border with Italy, has recently presented new ski lifts and runs, thus, improving drastically its infrastructure and becoming more guest-friendly in general. Construction of a by-pass having about one kilometer length and a road tunnel further contributed to overall enhancements. The new tunnel consumes a great lump of traffic that used to go all over the resort.
Now the majority of resort’s center is designed for mostly pedestrian access – along the snow front a broad wooden walkway was constructed and the remaining roads were made narrower. Also there were some new public buildings created. Further enhancements to the slopes and resort’s infrastructure are in process now. But even as of now Montgenevre has became once again one of the best and most convenient ski resorts in the Alps.
Recently there the new combined Télémix lift that has both chairs and cable cars has been launched into action. Also the new ski sector The Serre Thibaud Télémix has been opened. The new lift provides a connection between the Tremplin and the Chalvet ski sectors. It serves three runs of various complexity levels (black, red and blue). Recently launched slopes are completely equipped with all the necessary machinery like snowmaking guns and are safe and comfortable for skiers.
