The new 2008-2009 skiing season on Austrian Stubai glacier will get started on September 27th. Stubai is the biggest glacier skiing area of this Alpine country. It provides amateurs of winter sports about 110 km of downhill pistes, a fun park and a lot of lifts of different types.
Stubai is the synonym of great skiing possibilities, excellent up to date infrastructure and pleasant post-ski activities. Professional childcare services and wheelchair-friendly ramps for persons with disabilities are also provided.
For the first three weeks of the upcoming season tickets for using lifts for the whole day will be priced at EUR 30.7 for adults and at EUR 15.3 for teens up to 15 years old, senior citizens will be granted discounts. A free bus shuttle is available to move throughout the entire Stubai valley.
There are some retail outlets and rentals where needed skiing or snowboarding equipment can be bought or hired. Local bars, restaurants and delis serve excellent food and drinks to quench hunger and thirst after skiing.
