The Alpine ski resorts think of more and more things just to attract skiers to their slopes. One more ski resort in Austria marked its opening with the superstar performing on its stage. Pink opened the ski season 2007 – 2008 on December, 8 in Schladming, Austria.
One more a very unusual thing was that the Schladming introduced the so-called “music-slope”. The slope is more than 650 m long. It begins on the slope 1a that is situated below the Planai mountain station. The slopes ends in Planai 6 in the valley station. But the most interesting thing about the slope is that the skiers will go down the slope while listening to music. Everybody can choose the kind of music according to his/her own tastes from classical to modern. The choice is really great and varied as there are more than 10,000 songs in the database.
All this is possible due to a modern technical equipment that was installed along the edges of the slop. The quality of the sound promises to be high and giving more pleasure for skiers.
However, though it is just a new marketing trick to attract more skiers, the idea seems to be very good and hopefully such “musical slopes” will become a very common thing at many resorts.
