Salzburgerland in Austria has much more to offer ski holidaymakers. Events such as the Werfenberg World Championships for sled dogs, from 12 to 15 February 2009, draw visitors into the snow. Around 1,000 huskies set off with joyful barking to compete for the coveted gold medal. There are also romantic “Silent Night” trips during the Christmas and Advent season.
