Obergurgl: Reliable snow conditions
Obergurgl-Hochgurgl probably offers the most reliable snow conditions for a ski holiday in the Alps. The winter season opens with a colorful program from November 16 to December 1: acrobats, revue and variety shows, live music and disco. Hohe Mut lifts I and II
Even the ascent on the new Hohe Mut lift I or II offers an unparalleled view of the peaks. The completely unobstructed 360-degree view of 21 peaks over 3,000 meters is simply indescribable. The glaciers rest peacefully and gracefully in the sun or moonlight. The stillness of the mountains enchants visitors to Hohe Mut. No one can resist the magic of this mountain scenery.

But that’s not all. Obergurgl is well prepared for culinary delights if you feel like taking things a little more slowly. There are plenty of mountain huts, bars, restaurants and pubs for après-ski. The new Hohe Mut restaurant is also waiting to welcome skiers this winter season.
The restaurant seats around 200 guests. It is divided into four areas: parlor, restaurant, hut and bar—each with 30–70 seats. The main entrance is on the south side. The southwest terrace, measuring around 480 square meters, can accommodate about 360 people. It is divided into a sun-lounger area and a terrace area. The outdoor bar is also on the southwest side. It’s the perfect place to wind down after a wonderful, active ski holiday in the powder snow.
By the way, there’s no need to worry if Mother Hulda happens to forget to shake out her feather bed. Since the 2000 winter season, almost all the ski runs in Hochgurgl-Obergurgl can be covered with artificial snow. So snow reliability is no issue in this Alpine region.
