Affordable Ski Holidays in France

Austria’s ski resorts are still among the most popular destinations for ski holidays. However, it has turned out that a ski holiday in France is actually more affordable.

Eastern European ski destinations also cannot compete with France. Poland and the Czech Republic, for example, are fairly inexpensive. This is due to the low incidental costs for wellness services, ski passes and food. However, Eastern European regions are nowhere near as attractive to ski holidaymakers as France and Austria.

And winter sports holidaymakers do not choose a ski resort based on price alone. When it comes to skiing, Austria is still among the leaders. But France has scored highly thanks to the low cost of a winter holiday. France is the new mecca for quality and affordability on a ski holiday. After all, costs are also very important when planning a holiday. Nevertheless, the preferred destinations for ski holidays are not in Eastern Europe, as is mistakenly assumed.

It is not just the price that matters; the experience has to measure up too. Eastern Europe cannot compete in terms of the location and snow reliability of its ski resorts or the appeal of its slopes. France has far more to offer ski holidaymakers than just French charm. Expansive ski areas, as well as holiday accommodation, are close to the lifts and slopes.
