Schladming-Dachstein
Many of the Europe’s ski resorts have got rather good snowfalls as the American ones with the only difference that many of the European ski resorts do not tell the press about every fall they had. However, this year the snowfalls have been much better than the previous one. And this is the good news for many admirers of ski and snowboard sports.
Almost every of the ski resort takes an advantage of the early snowfall this year. Many of them have been opened earlier than it was planned because of favorable snow conditions. Avoriaz is not an exception. It has always been the place with the excellent snow conditions. During the last decade the average snow covering has been approximately 8 metres. This year for Avoriaz is also a good one. It has a high level of snowfall this year, and this explained by the fact that it is situated near Lake Geneva where the air is always humid.
One more resort that is going to start working a month earlier is Schladming-Dachstein. It was planned to open it November 24, 2007 but its opening was moved on October, 26. Good snow and low temperatures have created excellent conditions for skiing.
