It is late autumn in Europe already and in some countries as well as high in the mountains you can feel the breath of winter. Somewhere the first snow has already appeared and some ski resorts are even ready to accept skiers from all over the world.

In the Alps, the prominent ski resort there also the first snow fell and it allowed to some resorts to open their service for 2007 – 2008 ski season. The first snowfall promised a good ski season this year in comparison with the previous one when many ski resorts suffered the lack of snow.

Even Solden promised to open the next week to be the host of the FIS Opening event. Last year the organizers had to cancel the opening because of poor snow conditions and warm weather but this year the situation seems to be quite opposite.

So, let’s hope that this year skiing will be an acceptable pleasure for people who really enjoy it.
