The Stublchase charity race is one of the funniest events that is held every year. It is organized annually with the aim to collect money for the seriously ill children to make their wishes more accessible. The money is collected for the Starlight Children’s Foundation that then distributes the money raise.
The Stublchase is held the next way. The teams of four people are to visit as many of 46 mountain restaurants situated around the Saalbach Hinterglemm in one day as possible. The whole race usually takes no more than 7 hours. After a short breakfast early in the morning skiers go on the slopes to compete in their skiing and navigation skills.
After the competition comes to the end, tired but happy skiers get the chance to relax at the Starlight Party and barbeque. They also can get pleasure from watching the sunset in the mountains.
The Stublchase charity race has become very popular in the recent years and the next race is expected to be held from January 19 to January 23, 2008.
