Many ski resorts in Europe face different problems that are needed to be discussed and then solved.
The 9th meeting will be held this year in Chamonix, France. It will be held from December, 12 to December, 14, and it will be devoted to the problems of tourism and property.
At this meeting 2 problems will be discussed. One problem is how to make tourism more ecologically friendly. The mountains ecology ruins under a large flow of tourists that come here every year.
And the other problem is constantly growing prices for property. The more tourists come to the resorts villages, the higher prices are, especially if property belongs not to native inhabitants of the resort. It is even forbidden for foreigners to buy property in some places in Switzerland, Verbier for instance. The explanation for this is very simple. The prices for property are extremely high and many locals can’t afford to have it. But from the other hand, those who have more than one house can even benefit from it.
