New Equipment in Crans-Montana

There are two main events taking place in Crans-Montana that is situated in Switzerland. New snowmaking equipment and a chairlift are being installed this summer there. The installation began this year in May and it is planned to finish it by the winter when the new equipment is planned to run.

The new chairlift is planned to be longer (now the loading area will be located at Marolires station) and much faster than the previous one. This will let to shorten the time up to 7 minutes needed to deliver skiers to the destination. Besides, now it will be able to lift up to 3000 skiers per hour. These are the main advantages of a new Crans-Montana's chairlift.

As for snowmaking equipment, so it is planned to use it in order to ensure the snow cover at the very beginning of early skiing season. More over, it is planned to cover some more Crans-Montana's routes and slopes with snow-made snow. Now they will also cover the top of the Chetseron piste, the area between the Pas-du-Loup and Chetseron sectors via the Merbe mid-station.
