Ski schools offer various sport training options. In ski schools tourists are trained traditional skiing, including downhill skiing and cross country skiing, and such winter sports as snowboarding and freestyle skiing.
In ski schools are available different age groups. Age of trainees depends on several factors, including the popularity of the resort, its ski terrain, etc. As a rule, in ski schools there are three basic age groups: children, adults and "mature adults", it means retirees. By the number of subgroups is in the children group. One way or another, nearly all ski schools, which are now located in the Alpine region, whether it's school in Crans-Montana, Zoelden, Alta Badia and Grenoble. All they have to pass stringent tests for compliance its programs and the quality of training with requirements of the European Safety Directives. These are the places, where today you can find the most experienced ski instructors. The main center of Russian ski education is Leonid Tyagachyov School, located near the town of Dmitrov in the Moscow region in the Dedenevo village.
Often in some countries there are priorities in ski training. Thus, ski resorts schools in Sweden, Norway and Finland additionally teach cross country skiing. This is due to the relatively modest size of ski slopes in Scandinavia and the traditional popularity of classic skiing in those countries.
Today at ski resorts can be found hotels that offer services of its ski schools. Typically, these are 5-4* hotels. On request, the cost of training can be included in the room price on the stage of booking.
Ski schools often offer their services in cooperation with ski equipment rental offices. Such options are especially useful for the beginners, who have the opportunity to try different types of equipment without significant costs.
After completion of training skiers are invited to the group race, which determines the awarding winners. Many schools hold special parties to mark the end of training, which, according to some skiers, are the most vivid impression of the winter holidays in the mountains.
