Will glaciers survive?

Will glaciers survive?
Will glaciers survive?

More and more ski resorts stop accepting skiers in summer, and, as a rule, these changes are caused by global warming. One more ski resort in Switzerland (Engelberg) joined the number of European ski resorts that stopped working during the summer.

Of course, many attempts are being taken to save the glaciers and retain summer skiing but it is still not a way out. The scientists say that glaciers covering technique helps to keep only small areas of glaciers. It is economically unrealizable to and almost impossible to cover the glaciers with the thin layer of foil that will protect them all over the world. The process of melting glaciers is an inevitable process in the future. This fact was even proved by the researches from Zurich University. The Zugspitze glacier was 80 meters thick in 1910. Nowadays its thickness is only 45 meters. They say that in 30 years its size will decrease by 70% because of change of climate.
