In the middle of the southern part of the Thüringer Forest, between the well known Rennsteig (walking) area and the Schwarzatal, at an altitude of 750 metres, lies the small community Deesbach. The mountain the Fröbeltum (785 m.), the recognition point in this region, offers a beautiful view at the mountains of the Thüringer Forest. The ski arena Silbersattel, the largest alpine-ski resort of Thüringen, is situated at approx. 20 km. It has a chair lift, two towing lifts, snow cannons and several descending and runs. Deesbach itself has a small ski area with a number of railed ski runs, there are also many hiking courses set out. Mansion Bärbel lies in a side street and in the vicinity of forests, so you can enjoy your rest and the nature more then enough here. The house (72 m²) lies on the ground floor and is furnished very comfortable and luxurious. You may use a ski storage room. You have also access to a terrace with a garden in where the children can nicely play around. You can use the washing machine and dryer for free.
