Belgium has many snow areas to offer. Here you will find a lot of excellent opportunities for your winter vacation whether it is alpine skiing or cross-country skiing. The difference between these two types of skis is that alpine skis are about 10 centimeters wide and have additional steel edges. Belgium has much to offer for everyone, no matter what you prefer - sledging, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing or ice skating.
The Eifel or the Belgian Ardennes can offer a great winter vacation in the snow. Ski lifts carry passengers up to the mountains right to the ski slopes where one can find many ski huts. You will find many ski slopes in the Ardennes and those who adore cross-country skiing will find several long tracks going through snowy forests.
Belgium is open to the tourists. There are many apartments offered there for rent. You will never face any problems while planning your ski vacation in Belgium. There is a great choice of small vacation houses and summer huts in quiet locations. They are really cozy and have everything one can desire. Home-cooked meals in Belgian cafes and restaurants are really delicious and can please any gourmet. Gastronomic wild feasts held in Belgium in the fall are considered to be great.
The High Fens represent spectacular natural view. The main tourists attraction in the High Fens is an ancient picturesque landscape of the Hochmoor.
