Jungfrau-Region
The Jungfrau top ski region, with 214 kilometres of piste up to 2,971 m, is separated into three parts that are connected by lift, ski bus and train. Grindelwald's local mountain and a secret tip for all snowboarders is the First. This has the longest piste, at 12 km. Here you can use 50 km of primarily easy to intermediate pistes, whereas the run from 2,500 m high Oberjoch is also a challenge for experts. The most difficult run is the 6 km long "First-Egg-Bort-Grindelwald", with an altitude difference of 1,118 m. The main area, the connection from Grindelwald to Wengen with interesting deep snow territories, is quite impressive with over 100 km of piste for all skill levels. It also has the traditional world cup run "Lauberhorn". Snowboarders will have fun in the large fun park with half pipes on the Lauberhorn or in the beginners park at the Kleine Scheidegg. The region also offers great floodlit pistes and lovely free rider areas. Further 54 km of pistes are to be found in the Mürren-Schilthorn area, where the highest point of the area, the Restaurant Piz Gloria (2,971 m) can be conquered. For the fantastic view, it is definitely worth a visit!
