Cervinia (Matterhorn)
Directly on the Swiss border, in a picturesque location at the south flank of Matterhorn, lies Cervinia. Its high location up to almost 4,000 m and very good snow record distinguish this ski area from others. Yet the connection to the Zermatt ski area on the Swiss side is also a special treat! With an upgrade from the lift pass “Nazionale” to the lift pass “Internazionale” you have additional access to the Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche ski areas. Furthermore, you can use the runs in Zermatt on the Swiss side – a total of 350 km of pistes up to an altitude of 3,883 m, which are accessed by 57 lift systems! The descent at Colle del Teodulo into Switzerland is relatively easy – as long as you have your passport with you. Due to its perfect conditions, this ski region is even a perfect ski area for the summer time. Five peaks loom over 3,000 m, the majority of the pistes are situated above 2,000 m. Boarders will find the perfect playground at one of the snowparks, for example at Matterhorn.
