Oberstdorf, Germany's southern-most community, and Austrian Kleinwasertal complete the Oberstdorf/Kleinwalsertal ski region, which is especially suited to families and beginners. Experienced skiers will also get their money's worth and enjoy excellently prepared pistes, reached with 47 gondolas and lifts. The Allgäu's highest cable car will take you up to 2,224 m, to the Nebelhorn. On a clear day, you can enjoy the expansive view of 400 peaks between the Zugspitze and the Swiss Säntis. A total of 84 kilometres of piste are available, including Germany's longest valley run, from Nebelhorn to Oberstdorf. The Söllereck area is family-friendly and ideal for breaking in your skis, with its primarily easy to intermediate pistes. The Walmendiger Horn offers pretty and diverse runs for a wide variety of requirements. A special attraction is the 2-country ski area Fellhorn/Kanzelwand: Here it is possible to ski from the Austrian Kleinwalsertal to the German Fellhorn ski area!
