Kaiserwinkl

The ski region Kaiserwinkl encompasses the areas “Zahmer Kaiser“and “Unterberghorn“with the resorts Kössen, Walchsee and Schwendt. In addition, the region offers a total of 55 km of piste and 20 lifts between 589 and 1700 m in altitude, which are also suitable for families. The panorama in this idyllic spot, which borders Reit im Winkl, is characterised by the two prominent massifs of the Wilden and Zahmen Kaisers. Whereas the Zahme Kaiser provides smooth practice slopes for beginners, as well as a flood-lit piste, at the Unterberghorn, there are challenging black pistes along with chances to ski off-piste. The area is almost tailor-made for cross-country skiers: 140 kilometres of cross-country trails are there to be explored by hikers and racers, too.
