Hotel Der Schmittenhof
The newly built 4-star Hotel Der Schmittenhof is located approx. 1.5 km from the resort centre and only 100 m from the Schmittental mountain railway and the ski area Zell am See. The ski bus stops directly in front of the hotel and if the weather conditions are good, doorstep skiing is possible. The hotel has a main building and an annex which is categorised with 3 stars. Accommodation facilities include an entrance area with reception and Wifi access (payable locally), lobby, common room with flat-screen TV, lift, breakfast room, dining hall, parlour, bar and a heated ski and ski boot room. Parking spaces are available for free. The newly built spa area with various saunas, steam room, relaxation room with water beds, infrared cabin, ice grotto, activity showers and tropical rain, colour and aroma therapy can be used for free (daily between 15:00 and 21:00). If paid locally there is also a solarium, jacuzzi or massages available.
Furnishing/Board
The comfortable rooms all have a shower/wc, hair drier, satellite or cable TV, telephone (only in main building), Wifi (payable locally, in main building), radio, room safe and balcony (also only in main building). Please note, that accommodation may also take place in the annex building (see room description). The already included half-board PLUS comprises a vitality breakfast buffet with warm and cold dishes, an afternoon snack, as well as a 4-course evening meal with choice and salad buffet. On Christmas and New Year's Eve special menus are served.

Alpine skiing in France: successful season in the Alps
According to official statistics, the last 2011-2012 season was quite successful for the French Alps. The number of tourists visited ski resorts in France at the famous peaks increased compared with the previous year by 2%.

Residents of Zell-Am-Se town had to complain about excessive noise, which produces numerous bars of the Austrian ski resort in the Salzburg region.

Bulgarian ski resort: Easter skiing
According to the Bulgarian National Television, the resort administration decided to offer unique opportunity to free skiing on the slopes of Pamporovo before the Easter after consultation with the Smolyan city authorities, which is located near the resort.
