Ski resorts in Norway: new hotel in Trysil

(Other Ski Regions)

A well-known hotel company Rezidor plans to open its next hotel at a ski resort in Norway. It will be the new Park Inn (mid-priced hotel in the company’s portfolio), which Rezidor will present in Trysil - the main center of ski holidays in Norway.

Park Inn Trysil Mountain Resort will be the name of the new hotel from Rezidor. It will be opened in December 2011. It is not difficult to guess that the opening date is chosen just in time for the next ski season.

New hotel in Trysil will be designed for 369 rooms and will be one of the largest hotels of the Park Inn brand in Scandinavia.

Since Trysil is a family resort, the Park Inn hotel is aimed at reaching the first place in the segment of family tourism. Spacious rooms of the hotel in some cases include 3 bedrooms. Among the additional options are available usual for Park Inn swimming pool, sauna, fitness and spa center, conference hall and meeting rooms.

Park Inn Trysil Mountain Resort will be the second Rezidor hotel in Trysil. Prior to that the company opened here luxury Radisson Blu Resort hotel.

The new hotel is built by the Peab company, which is one of the largest construction companies in the Northern Europe countries. It will own one half of the hotel. The second half of the resort will acquire the resort operator SkiStar alliance. Rezidor will act as the management company.

Already now we can assume that the Park Inn Trysil Mountain Resort will become popular not only among traditional foreign guests in Trysil, among whom are British, Swedes and Germans, but also tourists from Russia. In 2011, Norway launched a large-scale ski resort PR campaign in Russia to attract Russian skiers to its slopes. The top face of the 2011/2012 winter campaign is famous Russian commentator Dmitry Guberniev.
