Skiing resorts of France: Le Gets and Les Arcs news.

Just two ski resorts in French Alps informed about preparing updates for the upcoming season last week. It’s Les Gets and Les Arcs.

One of the villages in the common system resort in Les Arcs - Arc 1600 - in this season will appreciate visitors to their slopes of the new chairlift. It will deliver skiers to the slopes of ski areas «Les deux têtes» - “Two peaks”. The new platform will replace just two old models Les têtes 2 and Pierre blanche.

It should be noted that Les Arcs is a french ski resort displays an enviable activity in modernization of its own infrastructure. So, at the beginning of last season at the resort was presented a new route for tobbogana Rodeo Park over 12 kilometers. The route is the fourth in France.

By the 2011-2012 ski season besides starting a new ski lift in Les Arcs authorities has been planning to improve alarm marking at the resort so that guests may find major sights and tracks of Les Arcs.

Le Gay is another resort which is fully prepared for the upcoming season. However, unlike Les Arcs Le Ge has just decided to emphasize its own merits rather than increase their number. At once three components of the recreation Le Ge - tourist office, the operator of the ski lifts and golf club - have recently received the certificate of environmental ISO 14001. Among the ski resorts in France Le Gay is the first which have three certificates at the same time.

Les Arcs is a ski resort in the valley of Tarantez which is part of the ski area Paradiski. Les Arcs was formed near the small town of Bourg Saint Maurice. Today the resort consists of several villages: Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000.

Le Gay-ski resort is not far from Morzine, one of the oldest winter recreation center in France. First platform was started here in 1938. It’s a part of the Franco-Swiss ski area Portes du Soleil.
