Davos strengthens the reputation of the best business resort in Switzerland

Davos is known in Switzerland as a business ski resort. Davos will be able to confirm the status of 'business friendly" resort once again after the reconstruction of the Congress Center, which renovated rooms can now receive 5,000 people.

Davos is one of the oldest business resorts in Europe. In 1928, a special High School for the intellectual elite of the Old World in Davos was opened by Albert Einstein. After the Second World War Davos became known as a place of medical congresses. Today, the Economic Forum in Davos is known as a meeting place of the most important players of the world economy.

Building of Davos Congress Center was built in 1967. After the reconstruction its area will be increased to 12,000 square meters. The congress center offers in total 34 rooms with capacity from 20 to 1800 people. Opening of a new congress centre allowed Davos to renew the contract with the organizers of the World Economic Forum. The resort will be the venue for the Forum at least until 2018.

By the way, this year's Economic Forum in Davos will be opened on January 24. It is expected that in it will participate a number of highest government officials, including Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

In addition to the Economic Forum, Davos, is also known as a venue for a variety of sporting events of the international level. Thus, in the coming 2011 winter season in Davos will be presented Ice Gala show, where will act leading figure skaters of the world. Skaters will perform on the main arena of the resort, Vaillant Arena, from 11 to 12 February.
