Snowboard Festival in London


From 29 to 31 of October 2010 in London will be held a festival that promises to set the tone for the upcoming winter season for the snowboarders. Freeze Festival means snowboarding and music, which take place on the same space. This is the action, which makes London in a ski resort for three days.

It is worth noting that the space is amazing itself. Festival Freeze Festival will take place at the power station site in Battersea, which should give additional impetus to the whole concert.

So what is the Freeze Festival? In fact, Freeze Festival is an opening of the downhill season for thousands of Britons. First Freeze Festival was held in London in 2008. Despite its relatively young age, the festival had become one of the brightest and most exciting events of the fall in London.

The main competition of Freeze Festival will be held at the special ramp with the height of 32 meters and 100 meters long. Skiers and snowboarders will demonstrate their skills leading skiers and snowboarders in the world. Among those who in different years took part in the festival are Olympic medalist Danny Kass, Peetu Piiroynen and Scotty Lago. This year, as well as in the previous year, at the festival will be held the first stage of Snowboard World Cup FIS LG.

In addition to performances of snowboarders Freeze Festival there also will be held a music festival. Here performed such well-known artists like Cypress Hill and Orbital. This year headliners of the Freeze Festival are such musicians as Mark Ronson and Skindred.

Sale of tickets for the festival has already begun. The cost of an adult ticket for all three days of the event is 86 pounds, children (under 14 years) - 36 pounds.
