Skiing in Switzerland: Zermatt invites for summer


Zermatt is a ski resort in Switzerland, which is known by one of the longest ski season in Europe, officially announced the sale of season tickets for lifts in the summer period. Some trails in Zermatt - mainly located above 3,000 meters - are suitable for skating. However, the core audience, which will be ready to buy lift tickets, will be climbers and cyclists. Summer in the Swiss Alps is their time.

For those who will decide to spend ski vacation in Switzerland in the summer we want to inform about prices for lift-pass. It can be of three types.

The first type is a lift-pass Summer Skiing Saas-Fee + Zermatt Pass, suitable for skiers. A subscription to two days for the tracks in Zermatt and Saas Fe will cost 132 Swiss francs for adults and 90 for children. This price includes admission to the trail on top of the Matterhorn glacier, as well as in recreational areas such as Schwarzsee, Rothorn, Felskin and Allalin.

Subscription can be purchased in one of the offices of Zermatt Turizmus. Lift passes can be purchased for a period of 2 to 14 days in the period from 3 July to 31 October 2010.

Total length of trails for summer skiing at resorts of Zermatt and Saas Fe is 41 km. It includes ski slopes, as well as snow parks and half-pipe.

The second type is a Hiking Pass. It is designed for the climbers. Hiking Pass makes it possible to use cable and road access to the high Swiss Alps, where start a lot of climbing and biking trails. A subscription for 138 francs allows you to use a cable road without restrictions for 3 days. Hiking Pass can be bought from June 12.

The third type is a Panoramic Pass. For 122 francs tourist gets the opportunity to visit the observation platforms on Matterhorn, Rothorn and Schwarzsee
