Fresh New Music Festival TignesFest in April

In between 16-19th of April, 2009 a Fresh New Music Festival TignesFest, a rather popular culture event, will held on one of the highest ski resorts Tignes, located in the French Alps. The festival will feature a wide range of musical talents varying from acoustic live bands to DJ sets. The TignesFest is also a big event among skiers and snowboarders. Which is more, it is free.

The Curators of this year’s TignesFest will be two UK major radio stations broadcasters Eddy Temple Morris (XFM) and Kissy Sell Out (R1). They selected a variety of artists and bands that will surely stir up the audience. In its turn, the position of а Curator is rather honorable because it provides an excellent opportunity “for showcasing incredible musicians in a breathtaking setting”.

The final line-up of musicians is rather extensive this year and includes following names: 2 Bit Thugs (UK), Black Peter Group (US/UK), Danimal Kingdom (UK), FrankMusik (UK), Jackbeats (UK), 5amourai (FR), Losers (UK), Midimidis (FR), Opera/Leslie Davis (CAN), Ou Est Le Swimming Pool (UK), Pablo Decoder/The Death Kit (ES), Ryan Lauder (SCO), White Wedding (Wales).

During the TignesFest Base Camp, the Official Travel Partner for the TignesFest has an intention to launch a Ski & Snowboard Test for indie manufacturers and series of skiing competition in such discipline as moguls, slopestyle, skier cross, boarder cross and big air. Teams from Val d'Isere, Tignes, Ste Foy, Les Arcs, La Plagne, Courchevel, Meribel and Val Thorens are invited.
