World Alpine Ski Championship Invitation Hotline Is Open

Val d'Isère World Championships Organizing Committee official website informs that the hotline for requesting invitations for visiting events that will take place in the frameworks of the World Alpine Ski Championship races 2009 has been recently opened. The invitations for individuals and groups interested in attending the Championship in February 2009 are provided by Savoie Mont Blanc tourism office (tel. 0 800 02 2009) and are now available to request via the Val d'Isère Tourist Office based call center or via website.

Meanwhile, the preparations and needed construction works for the 2009 Championships are going around the clock. The major structural works on the spot of the new winter sports center, situated at the foot of Mt Bellevarde, are almost finished. This edifice will host the World Alpine Ski Championships. The press center of this major sports event will be also placed there. Now after some preparatory works 80 wooden chalets, which will be used as mass media and commentators offices, first aid posts and jury stations, are being assembled on their places.
