Skiing Season In Val Thorens Still Up
(Snow Regions in France)
Well-known winter resort Val Thorens situated in France is still open for last minute skiing in this year’s season. Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe and a part of the massive Three Valleys Ski area (along with the Vallee des Belleville and Orelle). Val Thorens is located in a huge bowl and has links to Meribel and Courchevel. This ski area is one of the most popular in France.
Almost 100 per cent of Val Thorens slopes are situated higher than 2,000 m above the sea level. That is why excellent snow conditions for skiing are guaranteed. Ski season lasts there for five months – starting from December and up to the beginning of May. And on the Peclet glacier alpine skiing is possible starting from November.
So you see, there’s no need to pay an enormous fare for a flight to some mountain ski resort in North America (in the USA or in Canada). You have still a chance to catch the end of season and enjoy alpine skiing in Europe.
