Ski Race in Bansko

Bulgaria becomes more and more popular not only with tourists from all over the world. It is not only a country where it people can ski and snowboard, but it is also the country that also offers its slopes for various ski competitions. I.e. this spring there will be held the EUROPA CUP Downhill for Men. The event will take place in Bansko Ski resort. The competition itself will start March, 7th at 12 p.m. and will finish March 8, 2008.

Such famous skiers as Stefan Thanei, Marcel Hirscher and Jukka Leino will take part in the competition. However, there will be also other skiers who are going to participate in the high speed ski race. The whole track will be nearly 3 km long.

As for the participants, so they came to Sofia Airport March, 3. Later, they have been delievered to Bansko ski resort where their training have started today. March, 6 will be another day for trainings and March, 7 the competition will start itself and will go on March, 8.
