(Switzerland Ski Region)The ski resort of Zermatt, Switzerland takes good care of its visitors and considers its skiers’ opinion. There is one more good news for admirers of Zermatt – it is a new train route from Zermatt to Tasch that goes every night from Thursday to Sunday.
There were many complaints from people coming to the resorts to ski that the train stops coming too early that’s why the new route from Zermatt to Tasch was launched. Now after midnight the train from Zermatt to Tasch will move every hour and every half an hour from Tasch to Zermatt.
Besides, there are some other route that have become shorter now. I.e. now it will take nearly 3 hours to get by train from Zurich to Zermatt. Now skiers will achieve the destination 1 hour earlier that it was before.
Of course, all this has become possible only to the opening of the 22 mile Lotschberg Base Tunnel, the main aim of which was to ensure the better connection with the Northern Switzerland. However, this also let Zermatt to provide its guests with better access to its slopes.
