Tignes to Open Soon

The French resort situated on the Tignes glacier will open its skiing season 2007 - 2008 September 29, 2007. It will provide all types of pastimes from the beginners at skiing to experts.

It is planned to open 130 hectares of area situated on the ice that in permanent. There will also be a ski track that is 13 miles long and the vertical drop that is 2,400 ft high.

The Tignes glacier resort also offers a snow park for the admirers of free style where they will be able to do whatever they wish. This place is also perfect for the ski beginners because of its soft snow.

If you can’t or do not want to ski, then you can just walk there. The Tignes glacier resorts offers you a good chance to visit its Ice Grotto and enjoy the glacier itself.
