Breckenridge - skiing at nearly 4,000 m!
The highest ski destination (2,926 m) in the Vail/Summit area is the Victorian-style town Breckenridge. The resort is reminiscent of a western town and radiates pure idyll from its wooden houses, which you normally only see in films. Many saloons and candy-coloured houses from the Gründer era can be found all down the main street; numerous shops and restaurants are located in the centre and guarantee sufficient fun and relaxation after skiing. There are also many apre ski locations, great favourites with the younger crowd. A visit to the nearby town of Silverthorne is definitely worthwhile for fashion fans, as you will find an outlet village there with more than 50 shops.
