Saanen – experience skiing with tradition!

The historical village of Saanen is located at 1,010 m altitude in Bernese Oberland on the border of Canton Vaud. The narrow streets and historical houses in the centre of the village give the resort a special charm. The focus point of the traditional village is the 15th Century Mauritius church. Besides tourism, the main source of income is still today from traditional handicrafts. Just a few minutes away from Saanen is a real ski and snowboard paradise. Various ski areas can be easily reached and offer fun and action as well as comfort and relaxation. There is something for everyone here!
