Meiringen - sun on the pistes!
The lively resort of Meiringen is one of the most famous in Bernese Oberland. The main resort of the Hasli Valley is situated at the foot of Rothorn, which has easy access to the ski area either by taking the Alpbach gondola, going on foot over hiking tracks or by car. At an altitude of 595 m the mountain panaroma of the Eiger and Mönch mountains is definitely an eye-catcher. The village was largely made famous through the dessert "meringues" and the creator of Sherlock Holmes, who used the resort as a setting in one of his books. Therefore, it is not surprising that you can visit a Sherlock Holmes museum in Meiringen. Furthermore, Meiringen offers a comprehensive selection of leisure activities for young and old.
