Rein in Taufers - holiday in one of South Tyrol's highest resorts!

Rein (1,600 m) is situated in a tributary valley off the Taufer Ahrntal, and is one of the highest resorts in South Tyrol. The resort's quiet location offers excellent conditions for a relaxing and refreshing holiday. The lovely little town of Rein is situated in particularly charming scenery at the foot of the 3,435 m high Hochgall, surrounded by the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park. Here you will find the largest number of glaciers exhibited in all nature parks in South Tyrol. Rein in Taufers is known for the three spectacular natural Reinbach waterfalls, which plunge down up to 40 m over rock walls in a gorgeous natural backdrop. Numerous sights in the area await your discovery, e.g. the 13th century castle, Schloss Taufers. About a third of the imposing complex is open to the public and attracts numerous visitors with its splendid chambers, library, court room and torture chamber.
