La Plagne - a snowy dream!

La Plagne - a snowy dream!

The ski region of "Paradiski" was created through the union of the ski areas La Plagne and Les Arcs. This grand ski region is sure to make all winter sports-lovers' hearts beat a little faster! La Plagne alone proudly offers 225 km of piste and 88 lifts up to 3,250m high! Countless glacier runs, wooded trails, moguls, deep snow descents, beginner’s slopes, and fun parks offer diversity for your ski holiday. One special advantage is that the town of La Plagne is arranged based on the “ski in- ski out” principle. The pistes, which range from 1,250 to 3,250 m, begin directly at your front door. La Plagne - a snowy dream!

The construction of La Plagne as a ski region first began in 1960. (Eng.: Alpine Meadows). Just one year later, the first lifts began working and in the course of the year six functional buildings were built within the Plagne Centre. After beginning with these basic purpose-built buildings, the architecture began to take a new direction to smaller, nicer apartment buildings. Today there are ten stations all with a different visage, so there is something for all tastes. This is best observed in the evening, in the cosy little lodges as they begin to serve the local savoury dishes and in La Plagne Centre where the party scene comes into swing. The ten stations are connected throughout the day until 1:00 am through a complimentary shuttle bus and occasionally with gondolas.
