Ski Area Avoriaz
The "Les Portes du Soleil" lift pass grants access to 650 km of pistes and 197 lifts from 900 - 2,466 m in altitude, in one of the largest ski regions in the world - ensuring almost endless skiing fun! The Avoriaz ski area is located over 1,800 m in the heart of the region and consists of 73 kilometres of piste, as well as 42 lifts. You can reach the ski area from almost every accommodation. Avoriaz offers not only the highest amount of, but also the most diverse runs in the region! The wide and easy pistes are perfect for beginners and families; sportingly adept skiers get their money's worth on the "Crozats": with 4 km in length and 1,000 m in altitude drop, this is one of the steepest runs in the whole ski region. The legendary "Mur Suisse" (the Suisse Wall) is located in close proximity, which is known to be one of the steepest mogul pistes in the world. Snowboarders not only have the spectacular forest run "The Stash" with obstacles made of wood of course, but also two fun parks with a quarter pipe, tables, slides and jumps. Freeriders and deep snow fans will find numerous powder slopes to let loose on! When crossing the boarder to Switzerland, you should carry personal identification!

Alpine skiing in France: successful season in the Alps
According to official statistics, the last 2011-2012 season was quite successful for the French Alps. The number of tourists visited ski resorts in France at the famous peaks increased compared with the previous year by 2%.

Bulgarian ski resort: Easter skiing
According to the Bulgarian National Television, the resort administration decided to offer unique opportunity to free skiing on the slopes of Pamporovo before the Easter after consultation with the Smolyan city authorities, which is located near the resort.
