Ski Area Zell am Ziller (Ziller Valley)
With the "Zillertaler Superskipass" you can choose from 668 kilometres of piste in the ski areas of Fügen, Kaltenbach, Zell, Gerlos, Mayrhofen, Hippach, Tux, Finkenberg, and Wildkogel, which are all excellently linked to one another by a free train and bus shuttle. Zell boasts 166 km of piste and 49 mountain cableways and lifts, which will swiftly bring you to an altitude of 2,500 m. Children's ski schools, pistes and a ski crèche with a special programme for children ensure great entertainment for the little ones. Free riders will find the deep-snow slopes of the 'Sportbahn Kapauns', the 'Wilden Krimml' and the 'Kreuzjoch' made-to-order. Freestylers will be thrilled at the ''Hotzone.tv Snowpark'' in Gerlos, which leaves no wish unfulfilled. This region has been awarded the Tyrolean snowboard award and is among the top 3 snowboard resorts in Austria. Boarders are guaranteed to have fun in the mega half-pipe (100 m long, 14 m wide, 3 m high). As an added highlight, we recommend an outing to the Hintertuxer glacier, which, on account of its size and demanding pistes, is among the best glaciers in the Alps.
