The resort has become famous above-all for its glacier ski areas Rettenbach and Tiefenbach, which are used year round by national ski teams and "normal" ski fans alike. In winter Sölden's ski area is among on of the best in the Alps. A total of 34 cable ways and lifts transport guests to snow-sure altitudes of 3,340 m.
