Ski Area Schwendt

The local mountain at Kössen, the "Hochkössen", offers skiers a very diverse and snow-sure ski area, at an altitude of 1,700 m, which can be skied on from mid-December to the end of March. A snow-making system is installed, ensuring the run into the valley is covered. All in all, Kössen has around 30 kilometres of piste, which are served by 10 lift systems. Highly recommended is a trip to the Walchsee ski area (Zahmer Kaiser with a further 25 km of piste). Cross-country skiers can enjoy an additional 80 km of tracks to play on. Events such as horse racing in the snow and carriage rides ensure there are regular highlights in the Kössen holiday programme.
