Ski Area Kössen (Silvester)
Am Kössener Hausberg, dem "Unterberg", steht den Skiläufern in einer Seehöhe von 1700m ein sehr variantenreiches und schneesicheres Skigebiet zur Verfügung, das von Mitte Dezember bis Ende März durchgehend befahren werden kann. Zudem ist eine Beschneiungsanlage installiert, um die Abfahrt ins Tal sicherzustellen. Alles in allem hat Kössen rund 30 km Pisten, die von 10 Liftanlagen bedient werden. Langläufer können auf weiteren 80 km Loipen ihre Runden drehen. Veranstaltungen, wie Pferderennen im Schnee und Kutschenfahrten sorgen für regelmäßige Höhepunkte im Kössener Urlaubsprogramm.

According to official statistics, the last 2011-2012 season was quite successful for the French Alps. The number of tourists visited ski resorts in France at the famous peaks increased compared with the previous year by 2%.

Bulgarian ski resort: Easter skiing
According to the Bulgarian National Television, the resort administration decided to offer unique opportunity to free skiing on the slopes of Pamporovo before the Easter after consultation with the Smolyan city authorities, which is located near the resort.
