Kitzbühel is known beyond its borders for its incomparable après ski. Already in the ski area and at the valley stations, numerous ski lodges invite you in for refreshment, such as the "Sonnenbergalm" or "Tonis Hütte". Famous-notorious spots in resort include the "5erl", "Pavillon", "Londoner" and "Klausenfalle", as well as "Stamperl", where après ski is claimed to be founded. LAter in the evening you can move on to the "Highways" or "Jimmy's". Numerous restaurants entice guests to dine and enjoy international cuisine. The resort doesn't just attract fun-oriented visitors, but also nature lovers. The wonderful mountains can be experienced on hiking trails along the frozen ponds and lakes, or on a snowshoe tour over the region's loveliest hills. Special highlights on these hiking tours are the trails along the Hintersteuerberg or along the unique lake promenade of Lake Schwarz. If the ice is thick enough, the lake also invites you to take a twirl on skates and does not only make children's eys sparkle.
