Ski Area Kirchdorf
With the lift pass "Hochkössen" skiers will find a manageable, but diverse ski area at 1,700 m altitude offering a total of 30 km of piste and 10 lifts. The pistes are accessible from mid December until the end of April and additionally there are numerous snow-making systems which ensure a perfect descent down to the valley. Wonderful deep powder snow areas, also secured for skiing, can be found at the Unterbergalms and some also along the valley descent. A trip to the ski area of Walchsee (Zahmer Kaiser with further 25 km of pistes) is recommendable.

According to official statistics, the last 2011-2012 season was quite successful for the French Alps. The number of tourists visited ski resorts in France at the famous peaks increased compared with the previous year by 2%.

Residents of Zell-Am-Se town had to complain about excessive noise, which produces numerous bars of the Austrian ski resort in the Salzburg region.

Bulgarian ski resort: Easter skiing
According to the Bulgarian National Television, the resort administration decided to offer unique opportunity to free skiing on the slopes of Pamporovo before the Easter after consultation with the Smolyan city authorities, which is located near the resort.
