Ski Area Kirchberg
The lift pass "Kitzbühel" covers the wide ski area around Kirchberg and Kitzbühel with 170 km of pistes, as well as 54 lifts from 800 - 2,000 m. From Kirchberg you have great access via the Ehrenbachhöhe to the ski area, which has been known under the name the international ski sport "Mecca" due to its all year round ski world cup events. From the 21 - 23/01/11 it's that time again: thousands of spectators will gather to watch the 71st Hahnenkamm race on the legendary Streif in Kitzbühel. With the 3S-cable car a great ski area has been formed, which now enables you to go from Kirchberg, via Kitzbühel and Jochberg, right up to the Skiarea Resterhöhe in Pass Thurn! Off the piste, there are several marked ski routes for all abilities, as well as awesome deep-snow runs. At Gaisberg/Kirchberg there is also a 3.5 km long flood-lit piste. The "DC Area 43 Kitzbühel Nord" snowpark at Kitzbüheler Horn is a great boarder's paradise: kickers, quarterpipe, slides, rails and a 70 m long half-pipe will get snowboarders' and free-style riders' hearts pumping. Families are also well catered for in Kirchberg: the family friendly valley run, "Kaser" and "Fleck" ensure both young and old will have fun. This can be reached by the Fleckalmbahn gondola.
