Unken - skiing in the Heutal!

Unken at an altitude of around 564 m, at the foot of the 1,961 m high Sonntagshorn. The idyllic community is especially attractive for holidaymakers who prefer to spend their holiday more quietly. The Heutal valley, in which Unken lies, is snow-sure and is the ideal winter paradise for downhill and cross-country skiiers, as well as sun worshippers. The ski area is sure not to be overcrowded, and is especially suitable for families with its easy and medium-level pistes. Off-piste, history lovers will find the Kniepass Fortress is worth seeing, which was built in the 13th century and lets you have a glimpse of the history of Unken and the Salzburger Land.
