Ski Area Kaprun

With the lift pass "Zell am See-Kaprun" you have access to 138 km of piste and 50 modern lift systems in the ski areas Maiskogel and Schmittenhöhe as well as the galcier ski area at the Kitzsteinhorn, which reaches up to an altitude of 3,029 m. From Zell am See you can reach the ski area by CityXpress, TrassXpress or the Schmitterhöhe mountain railway. Beginners and experts will feel equally good here: The ski area Maiskogel is especilly suitable for families with its wide blue pistes. The longest descent of the region (7 km) can be found at the Maiskogelköpfellift. The Kitzsteinhorn (3,203 m) is absolutely snow secure and attracts mainly beginners and those how enjoy a leisure descent with its moderate pistes. Experts will tend to descend along the 4 km long slope from Schmittenhöhe (2,000 m), which is known to be the most difficult in the area. Freeriders can run riot on the slopes under the Sonnkogel lift. Snowboarders can enjoy themsleves on tables, slides and jumps in each of the 3 fun parks belonging to the 3 ski areas. With the Salzburg Super Ski Card you even have access to more than 2,200 km of piste in 23 ski areas for instance to the Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang, the ski area Kitzbühel or the Salzburger Sportwelt.
